How to factory reset Samsung Galaxy S Advance for better performance

Warning: This procedure will delete all your data, so make sure you’ve backed up before proceeding

If your smartphone is lagging or your apps are opening/closing slowly and simply rebooting your device is not doing much to help maybe it is time to try the factory reset.

In order to reset your smartphone you first have to enter recovery mode.

How to factory reset Samsung Galaxy S Advance:

  • Power off the phone
  • Power on the phone holding the Home, Power and Volume Up buttons until recovery booting appears in upper left corner
  • Using the Volume down button navigate to “Wipe data/factory reset” and select it using the power button
  • Use the volume down key to highlight “Wipe data/factory reset”
  • Press the power key to select
